This is Studio Goun

Studio Goun is a one-person, appointment-only studio in Hongdae. The work is mostly fine, delicate linework and black-and-grey shading. Whether it is your first tattoo or a cover-up over something older, the design, the placement and the size are all settled together before we begin.

Our Story

This is a one-person studio, so the number of bookings taken each day is limited. Consultation, design, tattooing and aftercare are handled by the same person, so what you agreed at the start is what you get at the end.

Our Philosophy

A tattoo stays for life. So rather than what is in fashion, we look first at line and balance that will still hold years from now. We talk about how a design will read on your body in ten years before any needle is picked up.

Our Artists

The work here centres on fine line and black and grey — lettering, plants, animals, religious imagery and cover-ups; anything carried by thin strokes and shading. As a one-person studio, the same hand takes you from consultation to the finished piece.
